SENATOR O'BRIEN JOINS CAMP GOOD DAYS AND ST. JOHN FISHER IN KICKING OFF 9TH ANNUAL COURAGE BOWL
ROCHESTER, N.Y. Senator Ted O'Brien was honored to join representatives from Camp Good Days and Special Times and St. John Fisher College today as they introduced the honorary coaches and cheerleaders for this weekend's Courage Bowl. "This bowl game is a wonderful tradition that combines raising money for kids with cancer and supporting our hometown college athletes," Senator O'Brien said. "Both Camp Good Days and Empire 8 Conference football are iconic elements of living in our region, and it is wonderful to see one of our local schools supporting and raising awareness of a critical local charity." This year's Courage Bowl will feature the St. John Fisher Cardinals (7-2, 4-2 in Empire 8 Conference play) and Alfred University Saxons (7-2, 5-1 in conference play) of NCAA Division-III football in a contest that will close out the regular season for both programs. Kick-off is at 1 p.m. on Saturday, November 16 at Growney Stadium on the St. John Fisher campus. -30Senator OBrien represents the 55th district in the Senate, which is made up of the eastern half of Monroe County and the western half of Ontario County, including much of the city of Rochester.
