Authentic Marwadi Gatta Kadhi

Ingredients: 1 tblsp vegetable fat (ghee) 1/2 tsp coriander seeds Oil for deep frying a pinch ba ing powder 2 cup coriander leaves chopped 1 tsp red chilli powder! 1 tsp tur"eric powder 1 tsp tur"eric powder 2 cup bengal gra" flour (besan) # curry leaves $alt to taste 1 tsp red chilli powder 1/# tsp cu"in seeds 2 cup yogurt 1 tsp green chillies chopped

Method

1! Keep 2 tblsp besan aside for adhi! 2! Mi% re"aining besan with ba ing powder& tur"eric powder& red chilli powder and salt! Mi% in water& little at a ti"e& to "a e hard dough! '! Knead well& rest it for 1( "inutes and then divide into four e)ual portions! *oll the" in cylindrical shape and then boil in salted water until coo ed! +a e off and cut into s"all pieces! #! ,eep-fry these pieces in "ediu" hot oil until lightly browned! *e"ove and leave aside! Mi% re"aining besan with curd thoroughly! .! /eat ghee& "i% in coriander seeds& cu"in seeds& green chillies& curry leaves and stir fry for a "o"ent! 0! Add the besan and curd "i%ture& red chilli powder& tur"eric powder and stir fry on low heat& stirring continuously& for a few "inutes! 1! Add water& ad2ust salt and stir fry until it returns to "ediu"-thic consistency! 3! Mi% in fried gatte& bring to a boil& top with cut green coriander leaves and serve hot!
