It has a small size

Function
This lets it pass through narrow capillaries, the smallest of a body's blood vessels This provides a large surface area allowing diffusion of oxygen and carbon dioxide into or out of the cell. This gives the cell the ability to twist and bend through the blood vessels Haemoglobin absorbs oxygen in the lungs and releases it in the rest of the body This gives more room to store haemoglobin.

Flexible Shape

It contains haemoglobin. This makes the red colour. Doesnt have a nucleus
