Why pursue postgraduate degree?

Monday, April 18, 2011 Malaysia bakal lahirkan 60,000 pemegang PhD 2023 PUTRAJAYA: Kerajaan mensasarkan 60,000 pemegang ijazah kedoktoran (PhD) di kalangan warga Malaysia menjelang 2023. Susulan unjuran itu, kerajaan memperuntukkan RM28 bilion untuk membiayai pengajian rakyat Malaysia dalam Rancangan Malaysia Kesepuluh (RMKe-10).

MALAYSIA: 133% increase PhD holders in universities 05 December 2010 University World News Global Edition Issue 150 The number of PhD holders among academic staff in Malaysia's public universities had increased by 133% since 2005, said Higher Education Department Director-general Datuk Dr Radin Umar Radin Sohadi, reports the official agency Bernama. He said now there were 14,000 PhD holders compared to 6,000 in 2005. Of the 14,000 PhD holders, 60% were in science fields covering pure science, applied science, engineering, biology, physics, medical and technology and the rest in social and human sciences.

UMUM Memiliki kelayakan akademik seperti berikut: Memiliki Ijazah Sarjana Muda atau setaraf yang diiktiraf oleh Kerajaan; atau Memiliki sijil kelayakan profesional yang telah diberi nilai taraf oleh Agensi Kelayakan Malaysia (MQA) sebagai setaraf dengan Ijazah Sarjana Muda; dan Memenuhi syarat kemasukan ke IPT dan telah menerima surat tawaran tidak bersyarat daripada IPT atau telah memulakan pengajian di IPT.

UMUM Memiliki kelayakan akademik seperti berikut: Memiliki Ijazah Sarjana atau setaraf yang diiktiraf oleh Kerajaan dengan CGPA 3.00 4.00 atau setara; atau Memiliki Ijazah Sarjana atau setaraf yang diiktiraf oleh Kerajaan dengan CGPA 2.75 2.99 atau setara dan pengalaman kerja dalam bidang berkaitan sekurang-kurangnya 3 tahun; atau Memiliki Ijazah Sarjana Muda atau setaraf yang diiktiraf oleh Kerajaan dengan CGPA 3.50 4.00 atau setara; atau Memiliki Ijazah Sarjana Muda atau setaraf yang diiktiraf oleh Kerajaan dengan CGPA 2.75 3.49 atau setara dan pengalaman kerja dalam bidang berkaitan sekurang-kurangnya 5 tahun; atau

(Berkuatkuasa mulai 08 Ogos 2012) UMUM Memiliki sijil kelayakan profesional yang telah diberi nilai taraf oleh Agensi Kelayakan Malaysia (MQA) sebagai setaraf dengan Ijazah Sarjana; dan Memenuhi syarat kemasukan ke IPT dan telah menerima surat tawaran tidak bersyarat daripada IPT atau telah memulakan pengajian di IPT.

KHUSUS Pemohon dari kategori kakitangan swasta: Boleh mengikuti pengajian secara sepenuh masa atau separuh masa di IPTA atau IPTS; Perlu mengikuti pengajian dalam bidang yang disenaraikan sahaja; dan Boleh menerima pinjaman pelajaran daripada penaja lain atau pembiayaan tambahan daripada majikan masingmasing, dengan syarat ia bukanlah biasiswa penuh.

Perjanjian MyPhD
Pelajar dikehendaki menandatangani Perjanjian bersama seorang penjamin Selepas tamat pengajian, perlu berkhidmat di Malaysia atau mana-mana organisasi yang mempunyai kepentingan kepada Malaysia selama 5 tahun Jika melanggar terma Perjanjian, pelajar akan ditamatkan tajaan dan dikehendaki membayar balik amaun yang telah dikeluarkan KPT. Contoh: berhenti; ditamatkan pengajian oleh pihak IPT; gagal dalam pengajian; menerima biasiswa lain; atau berhijrah ke negara lain dalam tempoh perjanjian

Assalamualaikum and salam sejahtera. Thank you Allah for His grace that let me through this doctorate studies with full effort, patience and resolution. Thanks to UiTM for providing a

highly competitive and conducive learning environment. Equipment and facilities were very comprehensive, modern and up to date. My choice of studying here was right from the beginning. Lecturers and staff were very professional. I will never forget
their help and commitment. They taught me to be an outstanding researcher as well as emphasize the ability to write and think scientifically. Thanks as well for all the funding and opportunity to participate in many research competitions and present research papers at home and abroad such as Japan, France and Switzerland Dr. Suriani Abu Bakar (FSG) It is undeniable that studying at UiTM is magnificent. Spending eight years as both undergraduate and postgraduate student enabled me to keep pace with the latest developments in academic fields. In UiTM, there is an atmosphere of enthusiasm for academic studies. The campus has a good view of environment, which sometimes inspires me with some new ideas for my research project. I like the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering very much, not only the architecture, but also its system and facilities. I admire the services of Institute of Graduate Studies. The administrative staffs of the institute were very helpful and they tried their best to help graduate students. People at UiTM are helpful when I had a trouble with my research project, or personal matters. My supervisor, Prof. Ir.
