Mission Statement *

3. TEAM MEMBERS SKILLS INVENTORY:


Kari Brooks
Strengths: A hard worker that meets deadlines. Good at working independently, as well as in groups. Can focus in extremely quiet environments. A hands on learner that utilizes organization. Possesses a creative and open mind. Good at using Microsoft PowerPoint, and some Excel. Weaknesses: Dislike for speaking in front of large groups of people, but not uncomfortable with public speaking. Known to pick-up the slack of others in the work group in order to ensure good grades. Hard time retaining information from reading books or listening to lectures. Difficulty with finding different ways to state the same point when writing.

Ada Brazeal
Strengths: I am a hard worker. I am good at the Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook. I enjoy meeting new people. I am able to get things done on time. As you can tell I only have a few strengths. Weaknesses: I do not like public speaking. I am not a good writer. I always second guess myself. I also have a hard time retaining information that I have read or I have listened to. I have very bad test anxiety. My biggest weakness is my family.

Michelle Frambes
Strengths: I do what it takes to make the deadline and produce high quality work. I am creative and good with PowerPoint and Excel. Good writing ability (although I do not enjoy writing.) Various business experience includes human resources, accounting, payroll and customer service. Weaknesses: Tendency to be a perfectionist in writing and presentations. Tendency to underestimate amount of time needed to complete a project.

4. TEAM GOALS:
Overall Goal: To earn an A for this course. Communication Goal: To use an open communication model that maintains the respect and dignity of others. Employing a collaborative process that places emphasis on the strengths of every member, while improving the areas of weakness that exist among team members. Group Awareness Goal: To gain a better understanding of each team members unique abilities and contributions. Quality Level Goal: To learn how the dynamics of group participation can improve the output of a teams work. To acquire skills that improve an individuals contributions to teams in the future. To have a remarkable learning experience. Process Goal: To employ a process for completing every assignment, in order to ensure that each member understands their collaborative roles and responsibilities.

5. TEAM EXPECTATIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Give and receive respect. Maintain a commitment to professionalism. Appreciate interdependence now and for future networking. Strive to attain the teams goals.

6. TEAM RULES FOR COMMUNICATION:


Communications should have a positive attitude. Reply to email within 24 hours of the original message. Team meetings will be limited to 45 minutes unless it is necessary. Text messages will be sent when an immediate response is needed. Listen attentively. Seek first to understand, then to be understood. Provide constructive feedback.

Ask questions in a timely manner.

7. TEAM LEADERSHIP:
Leadership is determined based on skills, aptitudes, knowledge and interests. Tasks that place others in roles outside of their comfort zone may be assigned. Collaborative support must be provided when needed.

8. TEAM CONFLICT RESOLUTION:


Team decisions will be made by a unanimous vote. If a member(s) fails to keep their commitment and/or meet the expectations of equal contribution, i.e. by failing to adhere to any part of the Mission Statement, a unanimous vote by the team can enact a request to Professor Madani for a 10% reduction in grade that will effect that member only. Silence equals a yes vote, therefore if a member chooses to withhold their input and/or feedback for making a group decision, implied consent is given for passage of the issue.
