    WHEREASthereiscurrentlynolegislationinplacetoregisteranimalabuserswithinOntario, AndWhereasanimalabusershaveahighrecivityrate, AndwhereasOntarioanimalrescueorganizations,shelters,andlivestockproducersandconsumerscurrentlyhavenomeanstodetermineiftheyare communicatingordealingwithaconvictedanimalabuser WetheundersignedpetitiontheLegislativeAssemblyofOntarioasfollows:ThattheGovernmentofOntariocreateaprovincewideanimal abuseregistrycontainingthenamesandconvictiondetailsofanimalabuserstobepostedpubliclyonTheOntarioSocietyforthePreventionofCruelty toAnimals(OSPCA)website,therebyinformingthepublicofpotentialdangerstoanimalsandfurtherimprovingthewelfareofanimalsinthisprovince.
