Ms. Janis Medysky, Associate Director & Superintendent of HR Services Simcoe County District School Board Education Centre 1170 Highway 26 Midhurst, ON L0L 1X0 Dear Ms. Medysky: Please accept this letter as an application for a teaching position at Simcoe County District School Board. As of June 2015, I will be qualified as a teacher of the Primary and Junior divisions, graduating from the Concurrent Education program at Nipissing University. I also plan to take an Additional Basic Qualifications course to obtain my qualifications in the Intermediate division in the spring of 2015. In the near future, I also plan to take further courses so that I might specialize in Special Education and Kindergarten. I have a wealth of practice teaching experience ranging from Kindergarten to Grade 4, where I have planned, organized, differentiated, and implemented lessons and activities across the curriculum. I have used assessment and evaluation techniques, made use of various technologies, and facilitated communication between parents and students. I have strong organization and motivation skills, as well as a wealth of creative ideas. I have been employed in various roles related to these qualities, standing as Arts and Crafts Director at a summer camp and mediating relationships for children with special needs. I believe that all students are capable of learning and success. With my support, every student can learn. I believe that collaborative learning and critical thinking are key skills for everyday life and I strive to encourage these things in my students. I am deeply invested in the growth and development of my students, preparing the way for future success. Teaching is a deeply rewarding career that affects the entire community. My classroom will be one of encouragement, collaboration, cooperation, and great success. It will be a positive learning environment for every student. It will be a place that feels like home, welcomes new ideas, and prepares young learners for the world outside the school setting. I am dedicated to this profession and the success of my students. I would be more than willing to attend an interview at any convenient time. Thank you very much for your time and consideration. I look forward to your reply! Sincerely,

Laura Bishop
