This is my own design.

After some proto-types, this was the best flyer and safest for indoor flying. This is a very easy pattern, and should take less than 2 hours. To personalize or just to make them holiday festive, you can also add appliques to the center (like hearts, shamrocks, flowers, stars, pumpkins, etc.). Enjoy!

Materials: Sugar and Cream Cotton F Hk, 3.75mm Large rounded needle to sew yarn Gauge is not important. Size: about 7 in diameter Abbreviations: Ch = Chain Sp(s) = Space(s) Sc = Single Crochet FLO = Front Loop Only BLO = Back Loop Only Hdc = Half Double Crochet Ss = Slip Stitch Uses US Terminology

Doily Frisbee: Rnd 1: Ch 9, join to form ring. Ch 4, (Dc, Ch 1) 11xs in the ring. Join to 3rd ch of ch-4 with a ss. (12dcs, 12 ch-1 sps) Rnd 2: Ch 1, Sc in 1st sp. (Ch 3, Sc in next sp) around. Join with a ss in 1st sc. (12 Ch-3 sps) Rnd 3: Ch 1, Sc in 1 sp. (Ch 4, Sc in next sp) around. Join with a ss in 1 sc. (12 Ch-4 sps) Rnd 4: Ss in first 2 chs of the loop, to bring you to the center of that loop. Then.. Ch 1, Sc in center sp. (Ch 5, Sc in next sp) around. Join with a ss in 1st sc. (12 Ch-5 sps) Rnd 5: Ss in next 2 chs. Ch 1, Sc in center sp. (Ch 6, Sc in next sp) around. Join with a ss in 1st sc. (12 Ch-6 sps) Rnd 6: Ss in next 3 chs. Ch 1, Sc in center sp. (Ch 7, Sc in next sp) around. Join with a ss in 1st sc. (12 Ch-7 sps) Rnd 7: Ss in next 3 chs. Ch 1, Sc in center sp. (Ch 8, Sc in next sp) around. Join with a ss in 1 sc. (12 Ch-8 sps) Rnd 8: Ch 1, 8 Sc in each sp. Join with a ss in 1st sc. (96 sc) Rnd 9: Ch 2, Hdc in FLO of each st around. Join with a ss in top of beg ch. (96 hdc) [Note: the back loop of round 9 will be used later to sew to free loop on round 11.] Rnds 10 - 12: Ch 2, Hdc in BLO of 1 st and around. Join with a ss in 1 hdc. FO after rnd 12 with 36 to sew. (96 hdc) Note: Rnd 12 will not show on finished Frisbee. It is tucked inside. If you wish, you can omit Rnd 12 and the Frisbee will still fly. But I think it is weighted a bit better if it is included. Finishing: Fold Rnd 12 under and sew the first free loop of Rnd 9 to the first free loop of 11. [Note: I put the needle under the free loop on Rnd 9 and up through the matching free loop on Rnd 11. As I go around I keep tucking Rnd 12 under to the inside.] Continue around the doily with all 96 stitches. Weave in the ends. Throw it and have fun!
