Our last session went just as planned. First, I allowed Wesley to choose his poem or amiliar readin!. "o my surprise, he chose the one he has stru!!led with the most #If I Were Ruler of the World$, when I as%ed why he chose that one he said &'ecause I(m really !ood at this one now)listen*+ ,is response was so e-citin! to hear or since day one Wesley has always a.oided readin! thin!s that were di icult or him. ,e read it, and he read it per ectly* /oice, in lection, no mispronounced words, I was so un'elie.a'ly proud and, e.en more importantly, I could tell he was proud o himsel . I as%ed Wesley to re lect on our time to!ether and what he eels he has learned or impro.ed upon in our sessions. ,e responded that he 'elie.es he sounds 'etter when he reads, he doesn(t s%ip words anymore, he ta%es him time to try and i!ure out what the story is a'out, and he pays more attention to the author(s purpose. I encoura!ed him to continue usin! the s%ills in readin! and writin! all o the time and his response was, &I already do*+ Finally, we inished our 'oo% and Wesley was e-tremely proud o it. ,owe.er, once a!ain I am ha.in! technical di iculties and my computer does not ha.e the necessary so tware to print it, so I will 'e ma%in! a last minute stop at the computer la' Wednesday mornin! to !et some assistance*
