Rape is no joke shut down Tequila UK!
Im a first-year history student and a member of Socialist Students. Last year across the country we launched the Rape is no Joke campaign to challenge sexism, misogyny, and rape culture; and this year, on campus, weve been involved in the campaign to shut down rape culture when it came to Leeds in the form of Tequila UK. Socialist Students joined the 200-strong demonstration sparked by the Freshers Violation video, and we will continue to oppose sexism wherever it raises its ugly head.

Support education workers on strike students and workers, unite and fight!
Government cuts are hitting students hard. Education workers at the university are striking this week to defend education. As a student, I will be joining the picket line, to support striking lecturers and support staff. A united movement of students and workers can defeat attacks on education.
