'irst of all, I ha e e$tensi e training as a performer! I started out my undergraduate degree as a sa$ophone performance ma(or, and I ha e played in o er ) different sa$ophone *uartets, t&o of &hich ha e competed at the national le el! I also &ill ha e completed three undergraduate recitals upon graduation, in addition to dozens of large ensem#le performances throughout my collegiate career! Through my musical de elopment, I ha e gained practical s%ills to help students master their instruments, and I ha e de eloped my a#ility to rehearse and impro e an ensem#le through my dedication to sa$ophone! Another uni*ue e$perience I ha e is considera#le hands+on e$perience in schools throughout the ,hoeni$ area! Arizona State Uni ersity re*uires its music education ma(ors to participate in - semesters of internships through the Mary .ou 'ulton Teachers College #efore their semester of student teaching! These internships put us in schools &or%ing &ith students starting in our third year of college! /y the spring of 0123, I &ill ha e &or%ed &ith middle school, high school, and #eginning #ands on an indi idual and large+ensem#le #asis! I ha e al&ays #een passionate a#out music, and I ha e #een in ol ed in many different ensem#le settings, including choirs, &ind #ands, pit orchestras, *uartets, duets, and church #ands!
