The first trimester (first month)

The first trimester is the first week through 12 weeks or about three months. The baby starts developing, the fertilized eggs start to split and are now embryo and placenta. The babys arms, legs, spinal cord, lugs and heart start to develop. At the end of the month the babys heart begins to beat. The baby is now the size of poopy seed.

The first trimester (second month)

The first trimester is marked by an invisible, yet amazing transformation. There are such things as morning sickness, which may strike during any time of the day, like morning afternoon or even night. To help reveal nausea during pregnancy, eat small, frequent meals through out the day. Choosing low fat foods and easy to digest foods also help. Even if youre thrilled about being pregnant, a baby can add emotional stress to your life. Pregnancy might leave you feeling delighted, exhausted, anxious or maybe all at once.

The first trimester (third month)

The third to eight weeks of growth are called the embryonic stage, which is when it develops most major body organs. During this process the embryo is most vulnerable to damage, such as alcohol or diseases. By the end of the third month the baby is will be the size of a peach. The baby then starts to grow soft nails, muscles, bones, fingers and toes. At this point the babys hands are bigger then its feet and the arms are longer than its feet.

The second trimester (fourth month)

With the first pregnancy, the fetus will begin to be felt move and this is about the 18 to 22 weeks since the last monthly menstruation. Even though the fetus has been moving though out all the pregnancy it hasnt been felt until now since the movement wasnt strong enough to be noticed. By this time (the fourth month) the doctor is almost able to tell the whether the baby is a boy or a girl as the babys external sex organs are developing. The baby can now hear and see. It can also stretch and flex.

The second trimester (fifth month)

By the end of the fifth month the baby will be as long a regular sized carrot and it will weigh one pound. The baby begins to move more and you may even feel him/her kick now and then. It beings sucking its thumb. The baby starts sleeping and waking up at regular hours now. The second trimester, is for many pregnant women the easiest. Those three months would be the perfect time to plan for the babys arrival since its the only time during the whole pregnancy that women actually feel energized.

The second trimester (sixth month)

If the woman that is pregnant has been pregnant before, they may feel movement earlier, sometime between 16 and 18 weeks. There are some changes in the body due to pregnancy, some of the changes are; BACKACHE, the extra weight gained is putting pressure on the back. BLEEDING GUMS, about half of pregnant women develop swollen, tender gums. BREAT ENLARGMENT, much of the tenderness experienced during the first trimester starts to fade away, If it doesnt start to fade away by this time, it would help to wear comfortable bras or maybe even a size bigger than the normal size cup.

The third trimester (seventh month)

The third trimester spans from week 28 to week 40 of your pregnancy At this point the babys hearing is fully developed he/she reacts to sounds, its pulse increases. Patterns of your baby's brain waves appear like a full-term newborn. He or she also has patterns of sleeping and waking up. The fetus moves frequently, especially during the 27th and 32nd week! The baby measures about 10 inches from crown to rump, or a total length of about 15.75 inches from head to toe, and weighs about 2.4 pounds. Brain waves show rapid eye movement (REM) sleep, which means your baby may be dreaming

Third trimester (Eight month)

At this point the baby is able to taste sweet and sour. Its nice to watch out for this month because this is when you can finally feel if the baby gets the hiccups. During this trimester the baby moves a lot more, he/she spends a lot of time kicking or stretching. The baby weighs about four pounds around this time. This trimester the baby grows a lot faster then it has been growing and

at the end of the month ends up weighing about 5 pounds.

Third trimester (ninth month)

The ninth month is one of the most important of all, the baby is growing more and more each week and its lungs are maturing and getting ready to work on their own. The baby turns head down to get ready for delivery. By the time the baby is ready for delivery, the baby may be the size of a pumpkin. RANDOM FACT: If you sing to your baby when your pregnant, the baby will remember the song when its born.
