Indy Spring Car

Indy Spring Car

The use of springs in this new innovation would help with the declining amount of oil in the world.

Economics
The spring could be produced in the U.S. for a cheap price and a big profit. The spring also be produced in foreign countries that have bad economy and the U.S. would claim a small profit but most of it would go to those countries.

Goal
Our goal is to carry a 250 gram mass 5 meters.

Materials Used
2 wheels in the back and 2 skateboard wheels in the front. 4 springs

Wood
Nails Bolts Rubber bands Strings Axles

How It works
The spring is attached to an axle which will spin the back wheels. The other part of the string is attached to the two springs in the front. When we wind up the springs to a certain position, the spring constant of the springs pulls the car which gives it the energy needed to reach our desired goal of 5 or more meters.

The Need
First we identified the need was to find a new way to power a car without using fuel.

Research The Problem

Then we researched the problem. We had find the best spring constant to start the car and go 5 meters.

Develop Solutions
Then we developed our solution and then we selected our solution which was to have 2 springs and 4 strings .

Construction of Prototype
Then we constructed our prototype that was half the size of our final product and it also couldnt pull the load the distance we wanted
