Instruments of the Orchestra Activities

Grouping Instruments Music Frenzy game: Sorting instruments into the correct families. Students will work in pairs. During the peer observation, students are challenged to properly group the instruments in the correct instrument family.

6. Summative Assessment (Orchestra Packet) Working in groups of four, students will need to make a diagram of the orchestra and place the instruments together in the proper families. Each orchestral family should be labeled with the correct family name. 8. Grading Students will evaluate others work according to the rubric. Students must meet expectations or exceed expectations on the point system. If a students grade falls into the needs improvement category, the student will need to go to the links to practice the names, sounds and family locations of instruments.
