With short brainstorming of topics with the students (10 minutes) Learning Activity #2: In assigned groups the students will be assigned a topic, that they will make a list about this with examples on their poster. Then they will present their posted and their topic to the rest of the class, in a 3 minutes time. (18 minutes --- 2 minutes to explain assignment 8 to complete poster, 8 to present) The students will sit in their desks for the explanation of the activity. Then I will give them 1 minute to move all the desks to the outside of the classroom, creating a circle that the students must work within on their group poster. Remind students of behaviour during this time, no running, no pushing, working together. I will go over appropriate behaviour for group work, ie working as a team, everyone has a specific job, and respecting others ideas and opinions.
