Valley Mental Health-An Overview Valley Mental Health is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing the highest quality of mental health and substance abuse professional treatment. Valley Mental Health offers treatment for a wide range of behavioral, mental, and physical problems. Many do not realize the influence that organizations such as Valley have in providing services that can improve medical conditions and the quality of life. Organizations like this are vital in the role of improving and aiding the community and its people. We are honored to have the opportunity to work with such an influential organization like Valley Mental Health, and look forward to aiding them in their search for excellence. A need for service Valley Mental Health recently experienced a major change in staffing and appearance. Under the direction of the new management, there has been a push for change in the overall look of the company. As part of this change, each department is required to provide a brochure describing their department in a brief and professional manner. It is expected that each brochure shortly provides enough information to accurately inform the interested patient on the services offered. Due to the large number of specific departments, this task, which may seem minor, becomes something quite monumental. Objective The main goal is to offer our writing services for as many department brochures as our university semester permits. Through meeting with Laura Wall and Emily Harris we clearly understand what Valley Mental Health needs and are excited to offer our assistance. We want to help in their push for a new company appearance, and recognize their need for high quality writing to provide to their patients. Our intention is to create accurate and easily understandable brochures so that Valley may reflect their professionalism and dependability. Execution of Project As a group, we will gain the expertise needed through documents provided to us as well as our own research of the company website and current brochures. We recognize the importance of understanding the company and its workings in order to provide the most accurate information possible. We plan on meeting as a group at least two times per week to work together on writing the brochures. As a group, we will primarily focus on compiling information and determining what information would be best suited for the department brochures. We will then finalize all revisions and send them through e-mail, which is outlined in the schedule portion. Due to the busy schedules of both our group members and Valley employees, we will do our best to execute this project through email. Michael Stapley, being fluent in Spanish, will provide all services needed in Spanish. Schedule Our first meeting with Valley Mental Health was on October 4th, 2013. At this meeting, we learned of the details of what is requested of us, and two important brochures were given to us for completion as soon as possible. One brochure, being the School Based Mental Health Services, was given in order to improve the Spanish translation of the already provided English information. The second immediately requested brochure is the overall company brochure for Valley Mental Health. Given this information, the following schedule is provided for a timeline of our provided services:

Qualifications of Group Members Our group consists of 4 members who individually qualify in providing the best service possible. We each are pursuing a profession in the healthcare field, and therefore are passionate about the quality of all types of healthcare. We each are students at the University of Utah and have taken numerous classes that have required hard work and determination. We are excited to use our different specific skills and use them together to produce the highest quality of work. Project Budget Since we will be communicating and providing final documents through email, we expect no financial costs for the completion of these projects. Any reproduction of completed brochures will need to be funded by Valley Mental Health. Conclusion We are very excited and grateful for the opportunity to work with Valley Mental Health. We expect the process of completing what has been requested to be challenging and very rewarding. Not only will our skills be improved, but we hope that the thousands of patients of Valley Mental Health will be positively affected as well. We appreciate the time that was taken to meet with our group and look forward to providing our service.
