S. Payne Resume 2 Teaching Related Experience: Student Observation Practicum Grand Rapids Area Schools, Grand Rapids, MI Fall Semester 2013 o Observed and evaluated effective classroom techniques and practices. Summer Day Camp Volunteer Counselor-Salvation Army Summer 2009, 2010, 2011 & 2012 o Volunteered between 56 and 90 hours each summer. Responsibilities included supervising, teaching, and assisting children ages 3-12 in craft projects, academic and music time plus many field trips. Volunteer Classroom Assistant Intern January 2012-May of 2012 o Provided educational assistance to students in Reading and Language Arts, for a 5th Grade class, 2 hours every day.
Work Experience: Babysitter Summer 2011-present o Three days per week I fed, bathed, supervised, and entertained a wonderfully precocious and smart, now 5 year old boy. We played ball, read books together, and went to the nearby neighborhood park, we became best buddies.
Community and World Outreach: Volunteer Intern at the Battle Creek/ Calhoun County Convention and Visitors Bureau Oct. 2010-January 2011 and Sept. 2011-Jan. 2012 o Duties included answering phones, light office duties, providing local information and directions to visitors, sell souvenirs, both in office and at special events, maintenance of mailing lists, and attendant to the onsite Cereal History Exhibit. Office Assistant at St. Philip Catholic Central High School January 2011-June of 2012 o Volunteered during my lunch time every day answering the phone at high school office, receiving deliveries, and supervising security of the main entrance of the school.
Personal: I enjoy volunteering at my church with childrens ministries. My hobbies include traveling the United States to enjoy baseball with my family. I am an avid Tampa Bay Rays baseball fan. I also enjoy downhill skiing and playing tennis.
