With some of the best players in the world playing together under the direction of the one of the best coaches in the world. Founded in 1899 and was based in Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain. Started by several soccer plays and is now a huge European power.

Soccer is a huge thing in many countries. It is considered one of the biggest watched sports in the world. Therefore, there are millions of people that watch soccer and follow soccer. Since Barcelona is the Spanish champion it has thousands of fans in at least 237 different countries. Many fans are located in Spain.

The Barcelona stadium is in a province called Cataluna. It is one of the biggest stadiums in all of Europe with the capacity to fill almost 100 thousand spectators which is roughly the same as the AT&T stadium home to the Dallas Cowboys. Thousands upon thousands fans go to the games therefore making it very difficult to get a ticket. Most games are sold out months before they actually play.

Not just a club

Mes que un Club is known to be the club motto. This means it is not more than just a club, which is true. F.C. Barcelona is more than just a football club, it also has various teams in different sports. They have a prestigious basketball program that is one of the best in Spain. They also have a water polo team, indoor soccer team and various other sports.

El Clasico
Every year F.C. Barcelona plays in a match against their biggest rivals, Real Madrid. This is called El Clasico in which the two Spanish giants play a match usually for the league or sometimes for Cups. It is considered one of the biggest rivalries in all of soccer. The game is televised and brings in almost 1 million viewers each time. The record for the game is Real Madrid 90 and Barcelona 106.

Through the Generations

There are also hundreds of fans that come from different places across Europe. There are also vast generations that come to the games because they are passionate for the team therefore passing down traditions of supporting the team. Dads usually teach their children how to play soccer and he learns to love the same team as his father.
