Condensation Heat Transfer: There are two types of condensation possible: A. Drop Condensation B.

Film Condensation If the liquid wets the surface, a thin layer of liquid forms over the surface and the film thickness increases along the downward direction. This condensation is known as film condensation. If the surface is non-wetting, droplets form and rolls down individually, this is referred to as Droplet Condensation. The processes are generally taken as film condensation, unless the evidence proves otherwise. Rate of heat transfer in drop condensation systems could be 10 times higher than film condensation coefficients. (Idea: Use the correlations for film condensation, if the results do not match, use the drop condensation values) The general process could be shown as follow:
