Man and woman were created in the image of God, to be bearers of his perfect image. We were made out of Christs love, and we are made to be an example of his love joy, peace, patience, and grace. Humans were originally created to follow goodness and to reject evil, but because of the fall, we came to know sin. However, because of Gods grace and mercy and that he sent his only son to die for our sins, we are forgiven for these sins. I am a daughter of Christ; I hope to teach my future students that they are also sons and daughters of Christ. Proverbs 18:15 reads, An intelligent heart acquires knowledge, and the ear of the wise seeks knowledge. (NIV) Knowledge is what we learn from our daily experiences-both in life and education; Knowledge is not only knowing school subjects, but also knowing how to deal with life experiences while emulating Christ. Learning is a way for us to become wiser and strengthen our relationship with Christ. In some schools, this may mean teachers showing students this by purely being an example of Christ through their actions. As humans we learn from our environment and those around us. As teachers we play a large role in students lives, and can be an example of Gods image to them. "Having gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, in proportion to our faith; If service, in our serving; the one who teaches, in his teaching;" (Romans 12:6-7.) (NIV) We were all blessed with different gifts to use in Gods Kingdom, some were to teach, serve, listen, or lead . Stronks and Stronks say, Students should learn to unwrap their personal gifts, whether or not the students know the giver. The teacher must help students recognize these gifts then help them develop the willingness and abilities to develop these gifts (1999, p. 35.). As a future teacher, I hope to use my gifts to benefit students learning and also to encourage them to use their gifts to the best potential possible. Students can use their gifts to benefit themselves and others. I hope to create an environment with my students where they feel comfortable and loved. I hope to create a curriculum where students are content in the process of learning, where they are excited to learn. I hope to be an example of Christ whether it is in a private or public school. I hope to show my students how to be leaders. I hope my students see me as an example of Gods light. We were made to reflect Gods love, joy, peace, patience, and grace; I hope and I pray that I will be a. strong example of these through my words and actions to my students, so they will also come to know Jesus through their learning experiences and knowledge.
