In total, there are well over twenty different public relations professionals and professional agencies, organizations, affiliated etc. The twelve new Twitter handles followed included Fleishman Hillard, MWW Group, Golin Harris, Weber Shandwick US, Edelman Chicago, Burson Marsteller UK, PRSA News Pros, Mark Ragan, and PR Daily.

Retweets a. Retweet at least one post from each PR professional that you find interesting or important.

The PR Association and Forbes released the above retweets that were rendered of interest and/or important. There were two tweets released by the PR Association. One from August 19, which states that the government finally admitted to the existence of Area 51. The second released reveals the seven commandments to the PR agency. The tweet released by Forbes poses a valid PR issue with Abercrombie & Fitch and their decrease in revenue due to a statement by company owner against attractive and overweight people from tarnishing his brand.

b. Retweet a post from a PR professional that addresses PR and social media.

PR Association, PR Newswire, and HootSuite contributed posts that address PR and social media relevancy. The tweet expressed by PR Association gives advice about optimizing profile pictures across social media platforms. PR Newswire tweeted about the decline of hash tags on Facebook. HootSuite tweeted an article that shows data of positions directly dedicated to social media are decreasing.

c. Retweet a post from a PR professional that identifies a PR internship or job opportunity.

PRNewser, MWW Group, and Bohlsen Group tweeted potential internships and job opportunities over the course of the week. PRNewser tweeted a position at Pollack PR Marketing Group in their Public Relations Department to fill the position Assistant Account Manager in Los Angeles, CA. When asked if they had potential opportunities on the east coast, they responded with a position in CT. MWW Group tweeted an internship opportunity in NY, and Bohlsen Group tweeted a position for their own internship program.

This PR informational video clip was discovered on a YouTube Channel titled Conversations in Public Relations. This channel provides a plethora of short, informative interviews filled with advice.

Project Summary This project has broadened horizons on industry leading professionals and leading organizations that develop overwhelming results. Using social media in marketing and public relations campaigns now has an overwhelming collection of data supporting its practicalities. Any intelligent chairperson should take seriously. Social media forums, when used properly, can be an essential and significant component to any aspiring or current PR professional. Staying keen on current trends, societal issues, world news, and daily events can be suitably done. Twitter offers rapid news response; one will always know when noteworthy events are occurring. Facebook poses as a virtual window to companies, agencies, and facilities. Pinterest highlights relevant and interesting images at a quick glance. Social media can engage all audiences with little cost.
