General Comment

This semester John has demonstrated a more positive approach towards his learning. He has applied himself during writing tasks and demonstrated a particular interest in creative writing. His vocabulary is well developed but he is encouraged to proof read his writing paying attention to punctuation. In mathematics John has a good working knowledge of number operations however lacks confidence when applying his understanding to problems. John will still on occasion distract those around him but with reminders is able to work independently. He works well as part of a group; this was particularly noticeable during our work with the YWCA program. During our Inquiry investigations John demonstrated an interest in the study of Ned Kelly and produced some lovely art work. I wish John all the best for year 6.
