Heart Rate
Heart rate is a very useful tool to monitor exercise The heart can be made stronger through exercise (cardiovascular endurance) Normal resting heart rate for adults is 60-100 beats per minute Usually a lower resting heart rate means more efficient heart function and better cardiovascular fitness
Benefits for PE
Students can wear them during the entire lesson Does not constrict physical activity Shows the students their resting heart rate at the beginning of class and their heart rate after activity at the end of class Can motivate students to participate to lower their average heart rate
