Marshall High School, McLean, VA Work 2007 Present Scattered Acres Horsemanship and Sport Horses Owned and operated by Autumn Rae. Senior Counselor at the Scattered Acres Summer Horsemanship Camp for Children. Responsibilities included giving riding lessons, natural horsemanship activities, basic veterinary care lessons, horse safety lessons, equine assisted learning games and lessons. Also responsible for campers safety during the day. Additional Responsibilities: The care and feeding of twelve horses including but not limited to the cleaning of barns, maintaining tack, exercising the horses, routine veterinary care such as cleaning and caring for wounds, hoof injuries, immunizations, warming and day-to-day medications for each individual horse. Volunteer Activities 2004 2007 Scattered Acers Horsemanship and Sport Horses. Started as a weekend volunteer with supervision at barn and gradually took on more responsibilities for horse care as knowledge and horseman ship skill grew. 2005 2007 Smithsonian National Zoological Park Teen Volunteer Program. Worked with children at the exhibit, taught them about the various animals living in the exhibit and where your food comes from. 2007 Present Smithsonian National Zoological Park (Invertebrate Exhibit keeper aid). Helping keepers with any and all exhibit opening tasks that needed to be completed. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the caring for coral reef exhibits, the care and feeding of cuttlefish, as well as numerous invertebrate creatures we have on exhibit, helping visitors with any question they may have

about the animals or the exhibits. Helping keepers with the many school groups and private tour that come thru the invertebrate house. 2009 The Falls Church Global Engagement trip to Bluefields, Nicaragua. The global engagement team worked with a local pastor. We manned a feeding center while the person who ran it took care of a family emergency. The program feeds up to 150 children a day. While we were there we played with the kids, ran Bible camp activities, and led a worship service. We also met with the local youth group as well as a group of deaf youth in the area. We helped the local church with repairs, and transported food to a near by Rama Cay that was in need. We worked with impoverished children, playing games, handing out sports equipment and hanging out. 2004 Josephs Coat (clean-up project). Helped my local youth group clean up and reorganization of Josephs Coat, a Northern VA consignment store set up to benefit the homeless. 2008 New Years Aid 2008, a fundraiser that McLane Bible Church. I raised over $2000 to help fund the construction of a school in Africa.
