Simple past Verb to be
When we talk about actions, events or states that were completed in the past,
we use the simple past tense. (Quando falamos de aes, eventos ou estados que foram
concludos no passado, usamos o passado simples.)
Some expressions about the past:
Yesterday Ontem
Last year Ano passado
Last month Ms passado
Last week Semana passada
Last night Ontem noite
