If the engine will not start, before inspecting the fuel system, check that the engine has sufficient compression and a strong spark.

Attention! If torx screw: dont touch adjust speed at control plate

Caution Point
The pump and metering diaphragms are made of rubber. Rubber deteriorates over time, so check and replace these parts if necessary.
Do not apply high air pressure to plastic and rubber parts.

If applicable + 0.25 mm (+0.010 in) valve metering lever

LOW IDLE SPEED SETTING


- 0.13 mm (-0.005 in) carburetor body Check for cracks Check for cracks Use needle B ( 0.3) to clean valve seat

Check for cracks, holes, tears and general perishing of the rubber parts.
Clean or replace Check for damage Check for damage Adjust idle speed at control base 1850 150 rpm

Clean with a soft brush.

Replace OK Check for wear of valve and valve seat

Warning
Gasoline is highly flammable and explosive. You can be burned or seriously injured when handling fuel. Before removal, completely drain the fuel line. Keep heat, sparks, and flame away. Handle fuel only outdoors. Wipe up spills immediately. Always close fuel cock.

If the engine will be stored, or not used for more than 1 month, drain the fuel to prevent hard starting.
