To: Mr. R. T. Human Resources, Cariboo-Chilcotin School District XXX North Second Avenue Williams Lake, BC V2G XXX

Dear Mr. T., I am near completion of my Bachelor of Education at Vancouver Island University. I am applying for a TTOC position in SD 27 and can begin work Monday, January 6th, 2014. Working at the Boys and Girls Club of Williams Lake, I have come to know the community well. I worked with multi-age groups of children, some with high emotional needs. I assisted in planning indoor and outdoor activities to provide challenges where children could overcome fears, develop team skills, and be physically active. Working in a team, we created unique learning opportunities through activities such as horseback riding, kayaking, and overnight camping. In my final practicum at Nesika Elementary, I worked closely with my sponsor teacher to promote an integrated curriculum. Together, we encouraged a community of inclusive, cooperative learners where we all learn from our mistakes including the teacher! I also incorporated technology as a learning tool, including iPads for math and short videos on a projector to enhance lesson delivery. My role as a teacher is to support my students to develop socially and academically. I look for the potential in every student. By utilizing formative assessment strategies, I will know what concepts need to be focused on to promote students best learning and success in the classroom. I believe my experience and enthusiasm for teaching will make me an asset to this school district. Since moving to the Cariboo a few years ago, I have learned of the regions diversity in geography and population, and I am proud to now call it home. Please find attached my resume, practica reports, and professional references. You may reach me by phone anytime at (250) xxx-xxxx, or by e-mail at nxxxxxx@gmail.com. I look forward to hearing from you. Sincerely,

Natalie Jacyna
