Developing Mathematics Curriculum in Intermediate schools in Kingdom


of Saudi Arabia in the light of International Standards for building
Mathematics Curriculum

Abstract

The aim of my thesis name is Developing Mathematics


Curriculum in Intermediate schools in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in
the light of International Standards for building Mathematics
Curriculum. This study was applied on a random sample of
intermediate school teachers in Madinah in 1428AH. The
descriptive method was used to explain the availability of global
standards to build mathematics curriculum in the intermediate
schools.
According to the findings, many recommendations and
suggestions were made. One of these recommendations is that much
attention must be given to the availability of curriculum building
standards of different approaches. Second, review of contemporary
mathematics curriculum in the intermediate schools to compete with
the standards of curriculum building. Third, offering training
programs for teachers about modern reaching strategies to help
improving their students thinking skills, Fourth, preparing tests and
measurements for the students. Finally, preparing directory for
teachers using different teaching strategies to explain the methods of
developing thinking and attitudes of their students towards the
intended course.
