After nursing interventions, the family will be able to make appropriate health action to make healthful lifestyle and personal habits through cessation of smoking.
After nursing interventions the family will: a) be able to know the effects and consequences of cigarette smoking b) be able to state and formulate implementing measures as a health action for their family c) be able to verbalize the importance of having a healthy living
1. Assess smoking history- kind and duration. 2. Determine reasons for smoking. 3. Discuss with the family the effects and consequences of cigarette smoking in humans health condition, e.g. respiratory diseases, cancers, etc. 4. Emphasize the importance of having a healthy lifestyle to increase compliance with the set implementing measures, e.g. no diseases. 5. Discuss ways on how to reduce the number of cigarette smoking such as
