We Can All Do With Some Detox

Very few people systematically evaluate their business, to find out what are the under-performing, under-valued and over looked people and assets. The subtle setbacks. Furthermore, very few leaders look to find the things and people that clearly go against the progression of the company. Every company should have people that are willing to ask the right probing questions, and consider all options, in order to find out the right decisions to make.

The future of your business relies on this kind of qualitative research a few times a year. Jack Welsh when he joined GE, came to the business and first thing he did was get rid of everything toxic. All toxic assets, and toxic employees. He was detoxing the company, everybody thought he was crazy. But if you do not get rid of the toxic things and people in your organization and company, you cannot grow. In your life, watch the type of relationships you keep, cut off the toxic people. Those that complain too much, always thinking and speaking negative, those that lack productivity, and so on. In fact, find people who are the complete opposite, those who have the qualities you can improve on and allow them to influence you. Toxic people and toxic attitudes are highly contagious. A small bit of ink in a clear bottle of water contaminates the whole bottle of water. This is pretty much the same thing that happens in our lives and businesses when we fail to see the small hindrances. There are things that can be ignored. What cannot be ignored is whatever issues you analyse, and find to affect your performance, and that of the business. Cut it off! Feel free to like this post, and share with others that may benefit.
