Sociology of Lennon and McCartney:  
Discussion 
 
Directions:  Yesterday, you listened to several songs from John Lennon and Paul McCartney.  The 
purpose was for you to try and look at the songs through the sociological perspectives.  For each 
song, discuss the various interpretations for each song and write your collective answers on a 
separate sheet.  (Note:  You don’t need to do “Norwegian Wood,” since we already discussed that in
