Description of Activity/ ask/!"perience that demonstrates I am at or above standard in the specific skills for the standard mentioned above: In my APUSH class last year, we had a final project that was about anything we wanted as long as it was apart of history and to do a report about someone who went through the event first hand. y partner and I decided to do our project on !"## and a man who was a firefighter while it happened, $oe %orillo. &ne re'uirement we needed for the project was either an interview from the person or to ma(e a documentary about them) we decided to interview him. Since he lives in *ew +or(, we had to find a way to record our conversation over the telephone. It was easiest for us to just call him on the phone but record the conversation over the computer. &nce we had the conversation recorded we had to figure out how we could then turn it in to our teacher, so we decided to use a US, drive to input the recording and then turn it in to our teacher so he could be able to put it onto his computer. Another re'uirement we had to have was a poster board. &ur poster board was in the design of a time line and the fire hose was the line for events, but since our poster board was so big we needed to find a way to ma(e the fire hose big enough to stretch across the whole board. -e thought of the idea of a fireman holding the fire hose, so we too( a picture of a cartoon firefighter and a fire hose and cropped the image big enough on the computer so that when we printed it out, it would fit to match the poster board. &ne major lin( that helped my partner and I with communication was .dmodo. &n .dmodo we were able to send messages to each other, along with different lin(s and images so we could get our project done in a timely manner without having to go to each others house everyday. .dmodo has also helped me in that aspect with different projects in different classes, too. /or my SI*0 class, our teachers put us into groups on .dmodo because our class si1e is so large) this helps meeting new people and tal(ing with them about classwor( whenever we need it. .dmodo is a good way to chec( homewor( assignments from all your classes at the same time and to see when they2re due on the calendar. It also is a good way to (eep communication with teachers when there isn2t any school or to as( them 'uestions any day. !"planation/#eflection of how the activity/task/e perience described above meets or e ceeds the specific skills of the standard mentioned above:

Sarah Martinez ID# 313109 %he major project described above relates to the specific s(ills because I e3plained how my partner and I used technology to help us wor( on our project and some of the challenges we faced. -e had to find new programs and tools on our computer to figure out how to crop and shape images li(e we needed) also we had to download a recorder on the computer and learn how to use it to our benefit for our project and ma(e sure we were able to put it on a US, drive to turn in to our teacher. -e communicated through .dmodo to share ideas, lin(s, and images. -e also used the internet to research the events in greater detail about !"##. .dmodo is an e3ample of how I communicate with my school community and my classmates. It2s helpful because it allows me to tal( to people away from school without having to give them my phone number if I don2t want them to have it. It2s almost li(e a social media for school. It helps teachers and classmates collaborate together outside of school even during the wee(ends.
