For many of us hospitalization is frightening and unfamiliar. We are not sure what to do to help, what to expect, and
what we are allowed to do or bring to the hospital. And despite a heartfelt desire to understand and comfort a sick or
injured loved one, many of us feel helpless because we don’t understand the hospital system. Join us for an extraor-
dinary evening with award winning Journalist and Author Patrick Conlon. His new book “The Essential Hospital
Handbook” has just been released. Come out to hear Patrick’s valuable advice on navigating the unfamiliar and in-
timidating territory of the hospital. His book is based on his own personal experience trying to develop a useful role
for himself as a caregiver to a family member.
