Action Research Project for Balvaidnyanik exam 2013 -2014 Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Of Anthropogenic Activity in my Surrounding.

Respected Sir, I have been given this topic for action research project of Balvaidnyanik exam 2013-2014. I have to study and assess effects of human activity in my surroundings which affects the nature in a positive or negative way. I have some topics in my mind, they are as follows: 1. Work of Shri. Popatrao Pawar At Hiware Bazar in Ahmednagar. Shri. Pawar has provided this drought prone village with good water facilities.He has brought this poor village above the poverty line. He has made all the villagers happy and joyful with his work. 2. Hazards of CFLs: One of my cousins who does a business of LED Lights informed me about the hazards of CFL. He told me that CFL emit huge amount of UV radiation and these cause death of skin cells or even in worst cases skin cancer. 3. Medical waste management: I heard about this topic on radio. Tremendous waste is generated through hospitals and clinics which is dangerous. It causes pollution of soil if not disposed properly. Most of the medical waste is non-biodegradable which is dangerous. 4. Spitting and garbage on road: I heard of this topic from a friend of my father. If you walk on the roads of Goregaon you will find that people spitting on them or throwing garbage. This gives a bad look to the area and above that it invites many diseases.

These are the topics that I thought of . I hope you may also add some so I can decide which one to choose. For decision following factors are important: 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. Topic should be within the given theme. The area which is worked on should be in vicinity. There should be quantitative measures. (Data Required) The topic should be something out of the box. Topic in which maximum participation from me. Topic should be such that preventive measures can be taken.
