Floyd County’s
SplitRail Eco-Fair
On October 24th, 2009 SustainFloyd will hold the first annual SplitRail Eco-Fair in downtown Floyd, VA.
The organization estimates that 1,000 to 1,500 people will attend, buying local food, produce and crafts. At-
tendees will also learn how to strengthen the local economy with sustainable resources and energy. The event
will include live music, amplified by solar power, and a performance by the Young Actors Co-op.

The SplitRail Eco-Fair will be held under the new Floyd Community Market pavilion, in The Station, at the
Floyd Country Store, and in the Warren G. Lineberry Memorial Park.

Such an event could not succeed without the generous support of individual and corporate donors. Sustain-
Floyd asks that you join the festival and help promote sustainable living by donating at one of the following
levels. Please check one and include a check payable to “SustainFloyd.” SustainFloyd is currently applying for
501 (C)3 status as a non-profit organization. Upon receiving this from the federal government, all donations
will become tax deductible, even those made today.
