Students Level: B1/B2 (BAC terminale) Aids whiteboard; worksheet (text comprehension);

Entry everybody sits down only after the teacher says you may sit down. Theres no written summary either in the whiteboard or students notebook. After hand in worksheets sports zidane 8 goals to kick out poverty

1st moment: warm up (preparing the theme football) 3 minutes

2nd moment: vocabulary exploration/ expansion exercises (sts didnt write on their notebooks, although there was vocab written on the whiteboard) ~15 minutes Questions (orally) about the document make a sentence; helps students forming sentences; the whole sentence, plz; asks questions and students raise their hands to answer. Vocabulary expansion exercises orally, words in the whiteboard, try to explain words/expressions sometimes French is used Synonyms of the vocabulary Vertical interaction (question/ answer), some smart remarks The text wasnt read by the students 3rd moment: Reading/comprehension activities ~15 min read the text and identify the qualities of Zidane; Continuing vocabulary exploration based on repetition of synonyms or adapting sentence structures (ex: turn nouns into adverbs/adjectives)

4th moment: concluding the lesson Sts open the notebooks after the teacher orders to do that Question/answer: sts answer questions previously explored and write them down on their notebooks following teacher notes on the whiteboard. Teacher underlines in red vocabulary related to todays lesson and sts find the tonic syllable and/or find meaning and/or synonyms

Ends lesson , some questions answered informally

Skills: listening comprehension, speaking, writing, reading comprehension

Comments: students lack essential vocab, and sentence formation orally, pronunciation problems (exercise: find the tonic syllable) (ex: rs); class based on oral repetition; sts treat the teacher as monsieur
