Area of Interest Having earned almost 7 years of experience in VLSI Industry (as CAD Engineer in STMicroelectronics and Cadence

Design Systems), I wanted to come back to studies and do my graduation in Electrical Engineering from a renowned institute. With the intent to understand better, and explore Electronics & Mixed Signals stream, I joined ASU as a Non-Degree Seeking Student in Fall, 2013. During the semester, I studied following subjects Semiconductor Device Theory (A-), Analog Integrated Circuits (A-), and Digital Systems & Circuits (A+). These subjects helped me build a strong foundation, and I wish to continue my journey by studying Advanced Analog Integrated Circuits, (Advanced) Computer Architecture, VLSI Design, and related subjects in the upcoming semesters. Why Should I Be Admitted My journey in the field of Electrical Engineering started with Diploma. Agilent Technology awarded me scholarships for all three years of my Diploma, for getting highest score. Within a couple of weeks after my Diploma, I got the offer from STMicroelectronics, and I joined them as a (Hardware) Configuration Management Engineer. I worked for STM for almost 5 years, and by the end of the time, I was leading the Configuration Management Team, and excelling in my job. I was awarded as Best Young Talent by the CountryHead of our group. To get experience of Software Configuration Management, I joined Cadence Design Systems, and worked with them for almost 2 years. During this time, the group heads acknowledged my talent, and efforts and I got multiple Instant Recognitions for my work, and ideas. When I applied for Class of Fall,13 as a degree seeking student, my application got rejected due to miscellaneous reasons. My work experience of almost 7 years in the VLSI Industry couldnt help me much but I got a great opportunity - to study as a non-degree seeking student for one semester, and prove myself. The goal was to take 3 subjects, and score straight As! After all my hard work, and zeal to get the Admit, I was able to score A+, A-, and A- in the three subjects, to meet the goals set for me. To score a GPA of 3.91.
