ISGEC OBSERVATIONS ON BGU CONFIGURATION HTRI REPORT 1.

ISGEC retained shell diameter, tube OD, wall thickness, no of tubes , length of tubes and length of longitudinal baffle (1000 mm) same as provided in the HTRI report sent by client for the proposed BGU. However, the flow rates are taken from original BEM data sheet and following values are used. Thermal case: Shell side Tube side

307,074 kg/hr 614,532 kg/hr

Hydraulic case: Shell side Tube side

265,789 kg/hr (as per note-3 in datasheet) 645,647 kg/hr

2. There is only one support at the center of inlet nozzle. The unsupported span including the bend is exceeding the TEMA limit. But practically no support can be provided in the bend. 3. A schematic of elevation view showing nozzle position and longitudinal baffle is attached for client reference / review / comment

4. It may be noted that warning on FIV comes both in this HTRI report and HTRI report sent by client while proposing BGU configuration. 5. Now Wet H2S service will be on shell side. 6. Corrosion allowance on shell side = 6 mm; on tube side = 3 mm. 7. As there is no other place to put saddle. Saddle is being put on shell flange.
