Make a difference!

Society needs adults who understand the needs of children and know how to support their early development. Trained early childhood professionals help children, families and our society. Research in the field of brain development supports early learning experiences. The high quality experiences we provide for children lay the foundation for their future social and academic success. Our curriculum in Early Childhood Studies is challenging and rewarding. Class work, laboratory experiences and student teaching experiences provide each student with knowledge and an increased understanding of developmentally appropriate practices and teaching methods. Upon graduation Early Childhood students can pursue a teaching position in the field of Early Care and Education or transfer to a 4 -year degree program.
