Civil Services Exam

Civil Services constitute all non-military departments of the government machinery, which run the central and state administration. Civil Services Examination is held every year in three stages to select officers for different cadre of the Administrative Services. The first stage is the Preliminary Examination followed by Main Examination. The candidates who clear the Main Examination are called for the Interview which is the last stage of the examination procedure.

Preliminary Examination Score: Question Type: Main Examination Duration: Score: Question Type: 450 marks Consists of two papers of objective type multiple-choice questions. Spread over 21 Days Paper-I-300 Marks; Paper-II-300 marks; Paper-III- 200 Marks; Papers IV & V600 Marks; Papers VI, VII, VIII & IX-1200 Marks (300 marks for each paper) Paper-I -One of the Indian Languages to be selected by the candidate from the 18 languages included in the VIIIth Schedule to the Constitution (Qualifying Paper);Paper-II English (Qualifying Paper);Paper-III Essay;Papers IV & V General Studies;Papers VI

Eligibility Criteria
Min Qualification: Qualifying Subject(s): Min Marks: Min Age: Bachelors Bachelors in any discipline Passed in the qualifying Examination. A candidate must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of 30 years on 1st August, in the year of examination. Scheduled Caste or a Scheduled Tribe: upto a maximum of five years. Other Backward Classes: upto a maximum of three years.
