Can drag and drop the GPS and text files from a folder on your computer to the Table of contents but have to go add->file to add SHP. Sharing Info (ie: submitting homework): Imbed it in a website or make a web app. Web Application: Share with a private group or make a web app to hand in homework ShareWeb AppPublish add in infoSave and Publish press Share a second time and the the student can copy the URL link and share it with their teacher Group Creation: Groups add in the name, summary and tags. Tags are important to make the group searchable. Organization account can have a private group but a personal account can only have a public group. 2. Story Maps Steps to creating a story map (see tutorial) i) define story (eg. my trip to the zoo) ii) collect data (points, pictures, videos-stored on a photo sharing site-e.g. facebook or flicker) iii) create, save , share web map iv) choose template i. basic viewer ii. compare (compare up to 3 maps created in ArcGIS) iii.
