This simple pattern is easy to customize and quick to work up. Knit and purl stitches are used to create an interesting texture with only 2 repeating rows. Materials:
4 balls of Knit Picks Wool of the Andes Tweed in Down Heather (Worsted) US 11 (8 mm) straight needles tapestry needle You could adapt this pattern to work with a wide variety of yarn weights, changing the needle size as you see fit. For my example, I used 2 strands
Note:
Set up row: K3, (P1, K1, P1, K2) 3 times, K1 Row 1: Slip 1 knitwise, K1, (P1, K1) 8 times, K1 Row 2: Slip 1 knitwise, K2 (P1, K1, P1, K2) 3 times, K1
Repeat these 2 rows for the length of the scarf. Heres a chart version: row2 row1 row2 row1 row2 row1 setup V S V S V S V V V V V V V V V V V V V V V V V V V V V V V V V V V V V V V V V V V V V V V V V V V V V V V V V V V V V V V V V V V V V V V V V V V V V V V V S V S V S V V
