Cairns School, Edmonton, AB Winter 2013 L.Y. Cairns is a school, which provides a specialized learning environment for junior and senior high students. They offer a comprehensive range of courses for students with mild cognitive learning needs.
They offer success-oriented programs to prepare students to be contributing members of society through a focus on literacy, numeracy and employability skills. The specific group of students I worked with were 16-21 years of age, functioning at a pre-kindergarten to grade 3 level.
