Intraday Trading Strategies Presentation Synopsis : Trend following models have had a difficult year, with this in mind we look at a two different methods to take advantage of intraday markets movements. We will be looking at both breakout and swing with a focus on models which are low frequency and tradable by hand as well as automatically. During the presentation you will be able to see the methods and the results, on their own and run as a micro portfolio. These type of strategies are extremely economical to run due to the low intraday margin, and can be used to fuel or compensate for longer periods of trend follower drawdowns

Presenter Bio: Andrew Gebhardt is the Managing Partner of Finex LLP, a small UK Investment Manager with a listed UCITS 4 fund running models based on pure technical analysis. Andrew read Civil Engineering at the University of Wales, College of Cardiff in 1993 and obtained the relevant qualifications as a trader from New York Stock Exchange Liffe and Deutsche Terminbrse (DTB) in 1996 and 1998 respectively. He is a Managing Partner of Finex LLP and heads the firms algorithmic development and strategic analysis. He has over fifteen years experience in the financial services sector, having worked for firms such as SGF Chase, Carr, Lehman, Fimat, and Newedge. He started developing Options models first which went live in 2002. From 2004 onwards he developed and implemented futures models based on Technical Analysis.
