SUMMARY OF PLEADINGS The Respondent posits that Colonel Calley Jones, as Katolands Minister of Defense, Chief of the Armed

Forces, and Executive Vice-Chairman of the Republics National Crisis Council is NOT guilty of the following crimes under the Statute: I. THE ACTS CHARGED DO NOT ESTABLISH THE CRIMES UNDER THE STATUTE A. Colonel Calley Jones is not responsible for the war crime of violence to life and person, in particular cruel treatment and torture and war crime of committing outrages upon personal dignity, in particular humiliating and degrading treatment The detention facilities were under the authority of KAF but they were supervised by KESA, of which Col. Jones has no command over. He has no knowledge, much less the intention to commit such crimes against the detainees. B. Colonel Calley Jones is not liable for violating the war crime of attacking objects and persons using the distinctive emblems of the Geneva Conventions The medical units are not entitled to protection because they were not organized for medical purposes. The alleged medical units were used to transport armored men and ammunitions. C. Colonel Calley Jones did not commit the crime of intentionally launching an attack in the knowledge that such attack will cause incidental loss of life or injury to civilians on the basis of contributing to the commission of such a crime by a group of persons acting with a common purpose Colonel Jones did not execute an attack or create a criminal plan. The source of the virus was not identified, making it impossible to prove the intention, much less the identity of the perpetrators.
