MDRRM Office has lined up many activities for the year 2013. Priority was given to the establishment of a physical office where the staff of MDRRMO can work efficiently and also to serve as storage for the tools and equipment, which are yet to be purchased. But the activity was stopped because of election ban, so we have to wait until the ban is lifted for the office to be established and the rescue tools and equipment to be procured. Since the office is relatively new, capacity enhancement is the priority activity for the staff of MDRRMO. Most of the activities conducted were on attending trainings and seminars on disaster risk management. The activities and accomplishments of the office are summarized in the table below.

Cruz, Laguna DATE CONDUCTED January, February 2013 DETAILS As member of PDRRMC, DRRMO attended this monthly meeting, wherein the budget of PDRRMC for 2013 was discussed. Other issues and concerns on the provincial DRR were also tackled. UPLB staff brought automated weather system as part of the project being implemented by the World Food Program. This is the 2nd part of the CP Formulation Workshop being conducted by theOCD involving Famy, Mabitac, Sta. Maria, Sta. Cruz, and Siniloan Barangay Officials of Famy, Laguna went to Baguio City for an Ecological Management Tour as well as basic DRR orientation. DRRMO served as speaker during the lecture discussion.
