Introduction
The Nakisa ABAP Add-on for Visualization Solutions by Nakisa 4.0 SP1 contains custom function modules required by Nakisa solutions. These modules extract organizational structure and record data from the SAP system, and also write back data from Nakisa applications to SAP infotype tables. The Addon must be installed on the SAP server before the Nakisa Transport Package or any Nakisa applications are installed.

Supported Nakisa Applications

Refer to the following documents for installation instructions and requirements: The Environment Checklist provides all the software, hardware, and SAP requirements, and supported RDBMS databases. The Release Notes describe new features and list known issues. The Master Guide provides general information about each application, the available licenses, and overall implementation sequence. The Nakisa Transport Package Installation and Specifications Guide provides details about implementing the SAP HR Interface for Organizational Charting (HR-OCI) configurations on the SAP server. The Deployment Guide provides deployment and security procedures for Nakisa applications. The Feature Checklist and Field Mapping spreadsheet lists all the features included in the application, and the SAP tables and fields that are called for each feature. This document is only available to Nakisa consultants and partners.

Requirements
Refer to the Environment Checklist for all system requirements. The function modules are added to the SAP system using the SAP Add-On Installation Tool (SAINT), and must be present on the server prior to installing the Nakisa Transport Package and applications. The following are additional requirements for the ABAP Add-on installation: HCM_TMC_CI_1 and HCM_OSA_CI_1 business functions activated in the EA-HR component (required for Nakisa TalentHub for HR & Executives). SAP Add-On Installation Tool version 7.01/0033 or higher. Refer to the online SAP help article SAP Library: SAP Add-On Installation Tool for more information about the tool. SAPCAR.exe to extract the Add-on contents. This utility is available on SAP Service Market place under Support Packages and Patches > Entry by Application Group > Additional Components > SAPCAR. For Nakisa TalentHub for HR & Executives: Create a non-unique data base index ZNK (description: Nakisa Dashboard specific index) in the PA0001 table for the MANDT, PLANS, BEGDA, and ENDA index fields respectively (use the index fields in this sequence). This database index is used to fetch data for the Dashboard analytics.
The system administrator must have access to perform file transfers at the operating system level (or by using SAP terminal services), and should have knowledge in the following areas: SAP system administration and add-on installation Transaction code SAINT Transaction code SLG0 Unix operating system commands for file transfers if the SAP environment is based on Unix, IBM, or Solaris operating systems
Important SAP Notes

The following SAP Notes provide additional information about the Nakisa Add-on. Note that an S-user account is required for access. Refer to SAP Note 567695 for more information about third-party add-on packages. Refer to SAP Note 1501039 for a complete list of SAP Notes and Knowledge Base articles. If a password to install the Nakisa Add-on has not been provided by your implementation partner, refer to SAP Note 1748016 for the required password.

Before Installing
Nakisa strongly recommends making a backup of the system before installing the Nakisa ABAP Add-on and Transport Package. These packages contain custom infotypes, RFCs, and evaluation paths that my impact customer-specific customizations in the SAP system that are not related to Nakisa applications. Refer to the sections following the installation and verification procedures for details on the Transport Package content to ensure there are no conflicts. Nakisa provides the option to modify the custom function modules included in the add-on using enhancement points. Note that any modifications should be made by advanced users as changes may have an impact on Nakisa application behavior, especially Nakisa OrgModeler. Nakisa does not support any issues that arise from changing the Nakisa function modules.
Installation
ABAP Add-on installation files are located in the SAP_BackEnd/ECC6_[EhP version]/[installation type] directory in the VSN40SP1_0.ZIP file. Install the appropriate Addon that corresponds to the installation or upgrade outlined in the following table. Note: The original Nakisa installations listed in the tables below are only single examples of many possible Nakisa application version and SAP server combinations. Upgrading Nakisa applications and SAP server
Follow these steps to add the function modules to the SAP server. Note: The screenshots in this section are used as examples, and may not correspond exactly to your system. 1. Extract the required SAR file from the Visualization Solutions by Nakisa 4.0 SP1 ZIP file.

2. Use SAPCAR.exe to extract the PAT file contained in the SAR file and copy it to the EPS inbox: \usr\sap\trans\EPS\in\.
3. Log on to client 000 of the system where the add-ons and preconfigured systems for SAP are installed, then run transaction code SAINT to launch the SAP Add-On Installation Tool.

Green icons indicate required components that are installed on the system. Red icons indicate any components that need to be installed or activated before installing the Nakisa Add-on. 9. Ensure that all the required components are installed on the system, then click to return to the Add-on selection screen. Additional support packages can be added in this screen, but are not required for the installation of the Nakisa Add-on.

10. Select the add-on package(s) to install, then click to review the support package selections. Additional support packages can be added in this screen, but are not required for the installation of the Nakisa Add-on.
11. Click the Installation queue tab to view the list of available OCS packages. Ensure that the message appears, indicating all required components are installed on the system.

12. Select the OCS package(s) to install, then click adjustment transports appears.
. A dialog box to add modification
Nakisa recommends consulting an ABAP developer before making any modification adjustment transports. Modification adjustment transports are required when SAP objects have been modified on the system and those objects are included in the add-on package. This is not required for the Nakisa Add-on. 13. Click No to close the Add Modification Adjustment Transport dialog. The Password request dialog box appears.

14. Enter the password provided by your implementation partner, then click . (Refer to SAP Note 1748016 if the password was not provided.) A dialog box appears displaying the add-on processing type.
By default, the add-on installation is performed in the foreground using dialog processing. Typically, background processing is used to install the Nakisa Add-on during off-peak hours. If you use the default dialog processing, skip to Step 17.

15. Click to schedule the add-on installation using background processing. The Start options dialog box appears.
16. Select the Start in background later radio button and enter the date and time to execute the installation. 17. Click 18. Click to return to the Add-on Installation dialog box. . The add-on is installed according to the processing type and time defined in step 16.
Depending on the system environment, a message may be displayed indicating that certain adjustments are required on the system. If required, consult an ABAP developer to perform any necessary adjustments before continuing with the installation

Once the installation is complete, the OCS package is displayed in the Installation queue tab.

This is a cluster table which is used to store dashboard analytics import parameters temporarily during the execution of analytics. There are few other table which may be used in future projects namely /NAKISA/HRPERPOT, /NAKISA/P1, /NAKISA/P2 and /NAKISA/PP.
