Global Isolation Conference & Exhibition

Aude Pariset and Marco Bruzzone February 27th - March 20th 2014

Dear friends far and wide,

Now that the winds have changed again and winter has settled in, its time to celebrate another year interred. On that note, Marco Bruzzone and Aude Pariset are pleased to invite you to join them, here, in Frenchspeaking Switzerland. On the evening of February 27, our space in Rue Ecole de Mdecine will be decked with works of art and open to visitors. The festivities will honor exclusion, that rosy barrier between inside and out. And what timeliness! With the virtue of the creative class in question given our involvement in evermore disquieting socio-economic divisions, Marco and Aude have decided to ask: Do you feel at home in this room weve so conscientiously arranged for you? And: Does the view from inside looking out strike you as substantively different than the view from outside looking in? Though the grass is always greener, as they say, our hearth has never burned brighter! Feel welcome! Here, sheltered from the coldall points of access to the world outside stopperedyoull encounter a gathering of modern accoutrements. Cozy up to the bodies of work on view. When we stick together, we conserve energy and keep the icy, precarious outside world at bay. Nothing unseemly or difficult, nothing unwanted or out of place. The cheeky title weve given to the event is Global Isolation Conference & Exhibition. But unlike your average companys holiday party, this events theme would probably be too subversive for the corporate bosses and their handbook regulations. Think of it as a dinner party with nothing to eat, a costume party where no one is dressed upbut where eveyerone claims to be drunk or the life of the party. So please, please, come join us as we drain our glasses with thoughts of everyone who couldnt make it. Friends and family welcome. No gifts, please. No dress code. Also open by appointment. Yours most sincerely, MJ
