Availability of Information content ,especially in case of agricultural service was a big challenge due to the following issues:

a) The parameters affecting agriculture change at every 60-70 miles in a country like India. The geographic and agro-climatic factors like the soil, the crop and weather are very dynamic and change relatively frequently. b) The Demographic factors like the literacy, population and language also would impact the usage of service offered by Nokia. These demographic factors change in every state if not every district. Revenue collection was an issue, which had multiple layers. First layer was the users having options of Pre-paid and Post-paid services and the other layer was the multiple operators (9 major operators) across 22 geographic circles. Operator integration needed more than a few months and therefore a decision whether to integrate simultaneously or in phases was to be taken.. Creating content for educational purpose was a huge challenge. There were 2 major issues associated. One was the obvious issue of finding partners which had maximum states coverage. Secondly, providing both English and localised content which is relevant to all the state educational boards needed quite an effort from the partner agent. Searching new partners for collecting and aggregating information would be another big challenge for NLT to be launched at pan-India level. The news agency which NLT had partnered with in pilot stage had only regional presence, where searching for new partners having bigger coverage area was an issue in itself. Training was required for selling of NLT services by the retailers. As the retailers selling Nokia cell phones in small towns and rural areas were small kirana shop owners, there was a very important requirement of training these retailers. Both Push and Pull strategy was required to train retailers to sell NLT services and consumerawareness was required so that they would ask the retailers for the services themselves.
