Poppick, Laura. New Maps Show Habitats Shifting With Climate Change. LiveScience.com. Live Science Publishing Co., 21 Feb. 2014. Web. 19 Feb. 2014

This article explains climate change and the habitats that are being affected as a result. According to the article different species are moving locations and behaving differently due to the temperature. Scientists have found animals such as the long spine sea urchin, previously only found as far south as southern New South Wales in Australia have migrated farther south along the eastern Tasmanian coast. This migration is evident trough mapping of climate velocities from fifty years of satellite data from 1960 through 2009. With this information scientist will be able to identify regions that might not appear to be undergoing change but are susceptible to rapid change. This article is a reliable source because it is factual and up to date. It is written by scientists, provides objective information and contributes to evidence of global warming. It is objective because of satellite data compiled over the course of fifty years. The data can target specific regions that may be affected by climate change and the species of animals living within that region. This article is a great source for a research project because it provides data on global warming that portrays climate change in regions that are directly affected by global warming. It indicates that plants and animals are migrating to warmer climates as well as cooler climates depending on the species of the animal. This article will provide evidence that global warming is an issue. The information provided in this article has not changed my opinion on global warming.

Baker, Peter. "Obama Orders New Efficiency for Big Trucks." New York Times [New York] 18 Feb 2014, Weekend Ed n. pag. Web. 23 Feb. 2014. <http://www.nytimes.com/2014/02/19/us/politics/obama-to-request-new-rules-forcutting-truck-pollution.html?_r=0>.

This article explains how President Obama has set new regulations on fuel standards for heavyduty trucks. In efforts to reduce the amount of green gas pollution, trucks would combine with previous rules requiring passenger cars and light trucks to burn fuel more efficiently. This action by the presidents has hopes of reducing our nations pollution by seventeen percent by 2020. This article is reliable information and shows what the United States is doing to help reduce our green gas pollution. We can reduce the amount of pollution just by car pooling and trying to achieve better fuel efficiency. This article provides objective information as far as a time frame in which our government is trying to reduce the emissions as well as percentages but due to the fact it is a newspaper, not knowing the political stand point of author and that it was written to market it would be difficult to judge whether or not this article is bias or objective. This article is a great source for a research project because it provides up to date information on how the United States is making an effort to clean up our environment. It brings to light the political side of global warming and shows that the issue is clearly prevalent because our government is taking a stand to reduce green gas pollution. The information provided in this article has not changed my opinion on global warming.
